JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – HONOR has introduced its 600 series in South Africa as it intensifies its ambitious drive to become the number one smartphone brand in the country.
It has unveiled the Honor 600 and 600 Pro.
“The HONOR 600 series reflects where smartphone innovation is heading, with AI that feels useful, camera technology that supports real creativity and performance that keeps pace with the way people live,” said Fred Zhou, Chief Executive Officer of Honor South Africa.
He was speaking at the launch event north of Johannesburg.
“South Africans are creating, sharing and connecting across more moments than ever before, and the Honor 600 series brings flagship-level imaging, long-lasting power and intelligent tools into a phone that feels both powerful and practical.”
The new series combines a flagship-level 200MP Ultra-Clear AI Night Camera, industry-exclusive AI Image to Video 2.0, a segment-leading 7 000mAh long-life battery and Snapdragon flagship-class processors.
These are all housed within what is described as the most refined design in Honor Number Series history.
The 600 series is said to bring flagship-level AI imaging and strong everyday performance to more users, while the 600 Pro takes the experience further with enhanced zoom, telephoto capability and Snapdragon 8 Elite performance, according to the company.
The 600 Pro will be available in Golden White and Orange for a recommended retail price of R19 999 or from R799 x 36 months. The 600 will be available in Orange and Black for R14 999 or from R549 x 36 months.
The 600 Lite was launched in April.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Honor also unveiled the Watch6, Choice Headphones, Choice Mousebuds Pro and Earbuds 4.
Honor reports that in 2025, it became the smartphone brand with the fastest global shipment growth in the industry.
The number of Honor users has exceeded 300 million globally.
“We stand firm in our mission — to serve, to innovate and to deliver the best for our consumers globally. We have achieved remarkable sales performance in multiple markets around the world,” Zhou said.
