WINDHOEK, (CAJ News) – TELECOM Namibia has announced appointments to its Board of Directors.
They comprise Fimanekeni Petrus (Chairperson), Melanie Tjijenda (Deputy Chairperson), Henock Immanuel (Director), Maria Haipinge (Director), Prof Marvin Awarab (Director) and Hasting Tjipueja (Director).
The appointments are effective from June 3.
Petrus said: “We are honoured to take on this responsibility at such a critical juncture in Telecom Namibia’s evolution.”
“The company and its previous Board of Directors have laid a solid foundation for transformation, and as a Board, we are committed to strengthening governance, driving strategic execution and ensuring that Telecom Namibia delivers sustainable value to its customers, shareholders and the Namibian nation.”
Stanley Shanapinda, outgoing Chief Executive Officer, welcomed the new board.
“Their leadership comes at a critical time in Telecom Namibia’s transformation journey, and I am confident they will provide the strategic direction and oversight required to take the company forward,” he said.
The new board will make further announcements regarding the appointment of the new Chief Executive Officer, who will take office on July 1.
