ACCRA, (CAJ News) – ASTRIA Learning, the global education technology company, is exploring collaborations to strengthen digital transformation ties and boost the West African country’s education sector.
This transformation is through artificial intelligence-powered platforms, integrated academic technologies and institution-led digital strategies.
Astria Learning officials this week held a strategic engagement meeting with the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to explore collaboration opportunities.
The meeting builds on Astria’s expanding work in Ghana, including its partnership with the University of Cape Coast to support the launch of the local university’s fully online degree programmes.
“Ghana’s tertiary education sector is entering an important phase of digital and quality transformation,” Dr Jeff Bordes, Astria chief executive officer, said.
“Our engagement with GTEC reflects Astria Learning’s commitment to supporting institutions and education stakeholders with the tools, data and technology needed to expand access, strengthen quality and prepare learners for the future.”
Discussions with GTEC focused on how Astria’s global experience and technological solutions could support the commission’s ongoing efforts to enhance quality assurance, promote institutional excellence and strengthen Ghana’s position in the evolving regional and global higher education landscape.
The discussions also considered the responsible use of AI to support academic innovation, institutional efficiency, student support and data-informed decision-making. Areas of potential collaboration included digital admissions infrastructure, verifiable credential technologies and integrated data platforms.
GTEC regulates, accredits and advances tertiary education in Ghana.
The Florida, United States-based Astria is focusing on 2026 to deepen relationships with universities, regulators and higher education stakeholders.
Founded in 2009, the ed-tech firm supports scalable, transparent and student-centred transformation.
