DURBAN, (CAJ News) – MITSUBISHI Motors South Africa has strengthened its long-standing partnership with AmaZulu FC with the handover of a new fleet of seven vehicles to the Durban-based football club.
The partnership sees Mitsubishi Motors SA provide mobility for AmaZulu players and staff, with the latest fleet comprising an Xpander, Outlander Sport, Outlander, Pajero Sport and two Triton bakkies.
The vehicle manufacturer was also a sponsor of the club’s annual awards, where the Player of the Season received the use of a Mitsubishi Outlander for a quarter.
Mitsubishi Motors SA additionally sponsors the Ambitious Player of the Quarter campaign, giving supporters and members of the public an opportunity to vote for their standout player.
The partnership also includes stadium branding during AmaZulu’s home fixtures.
Takalani Bruce Mukhola, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors SA, said the company was proud to support a club that had enjoyed a strong finish to the PSL season.
“AmaZulu FC’s performance throughout the season has been impressive,” Mukhola said, adding that it was a privilege to participate in the club’s awards ceremony and present the Player of the Season accolade alongside club president Sandile Zungu.
He said the partnership offered Mitsubishi an opportunity to connect with a dedicated football audience while supporting the team’s mobility requirements.
Beyond football, the partnership is also aligned with AmaZulu’s community initiatives, including its back-to-school campaign, which complements Mitsubishi Motors SA’s corporate social investment priorities.
“From the streets to the stadium, this partnership is about moving forward together, backing South African talent and driving the spirit of the game,” Mukhola said.
He added that the collaboration aimed to build a lasting legacy while celebrating the heritage shared by AmaZulu FC and Mitsubishi Motors SA.
