JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – CYBERSECURITY company Kaspersky has enhanced its Cloud Workload Security (CWS) platform with new artificial intelligence (AI)-driven capabilities aimed at strengthening protection for organisations operating in cloud and hybrid environments.
The latest update introduces AI-powered workload analysis through integration with the OpenAI API within Kaspersky Container Security (KCS), enabling users to receive contextual explanations of detected vulnerabilities and potential cyber risks.
Kaspersky said the feature is designed to simplify investigations, reduce technical knowledge gaps and support faster decision-making by transforming complex scan results into actionable insights.
The development comes as organisations increasingly adopt containerised environments and hybrid cloud infrastructures, placing growing pressure on cybersecurity teams to manage risks efficiently.
Designed for modern DevOps operations, Kaspersky CWS provides centralised visibility across workloads, Kubernetes clusters and cloud platforms, while supporting runtime protection, shift-left security strategies and compliance requirements.
The company noted that the AI integration forms part of a newly introduced Advanced Pro licence within the product portfolio.
Additional updates include single sign-on (SSO) integration and multi-domain Active Directory support, aimed at improving deployment across distributed enterprise environments.
Kaspersky has also enhanced system performance by enabling the platform to skip oversized image scans when necessary and avoid rescanning identical images within a specified timeframe.
Further improvements include expanded security policy management capabilities and user interface enhancements intended to simplify workload protection.
The updated release also incorporates the latest versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows and Linux to strengthen integration and overall protection across cloud environments.
Anton Rusakov-Rudenko, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Cloud and Network Security at Kaspersky, said the rapid growth of AI and container technologies had increased security demands for organisations.
“To help ease this burden, we introduced AI integration within Kaspersky Cloud Workload Security, enabling security professionals to make faster decisions and gain deeper insight into risks and vulnerabilities,” he said.
Founded in 1997, Kaspersky provides cybersecurity and digital privacy solutions to businesses, governments and consumers globally.
