JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – MTN Group has announced the release of its 2025 annual reports.

Produced under the theme “Accelerating impact. Empowering Africa”, the suite of 13 reports offers a comprehensive review of the company’s strong performance and delivery in advancing digital solutions across the continent.

In a year marked by complex and often challenging geopolitical and operating conditions, MTN achieved several significant milestones.

Group President and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Mupita credited these accomplishments to the support of a wide range of stakeholders, and invited audiences to engage with the reports, which aim to deliver relevant and meaningful insights.

The flagship Integrated Report outlines MTN’s value creation journey, highlighting strategic progress and commercial momentum in key markets.

It details continued growth in data and fintech, disciplined execution, improvements in customer experience, and sustained investment in network quality.

Complementing this, additional reports cover sustainability, financial performance, and people, offering stakeholders a holistic understanding of the Group’s health and future prospects.

Through expanding digital and financial inclusion, MTN continues to support economic growth while creating value that promotes dignity, opportunity and resilience across Africa.

The Sustainability Report outlines progress against key performance indicators, demonstrating efforts to build a more resilient organisation, society and environment.

Meanwhile, the Tax Transparency Report reflects MTN’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship, noting a total tax contribution of R61.1 billion across its markets.

The People Report highlights the company’s adaptable workforce and values-driven culture, while addressing the evolving nature of work in an era increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence.

In his foreword to the Transparency Report, Mupita emphasised the growing societal importance of digital infrastructure, stressing the need to uphold integrity and respect for digital human rights.

MTN’s Climate Report details progress in embedding climate commitments into operations, including exceeding its emissions reduction target by cutting Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 48% from a 2021 baseline.

The reporting suite also includes a Notice of Annual General Meeting, inviting shareholders to attend a virtual meeting on 29 May 2026.

The Remuneration Report provides transparent disclosure of executive pay, aligned with strategic performance.

Finally, the ESG Data Booklet offers detailed insights into environmental, social and governance metrics, supported by policies and a comprehensive disclosure index.

Mupita reaffirmed MTN’s investment case, citing sustained demand for data and fintech, and reiterated the Group’s commitment to sustainable growth and shared value creation for stakeholders worldwide.
