JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – HONOR, the Chinese-headquartered technology firm, has outlined hefty plans for South Africa.
The company was among an elite group of official sponsors of the just-concluded Africa Tech Festival, held in Cape Town.
“We’ve entered an era where technology doesn’t just connect us — it understands us,” said Fred Zhou, Chief Executive of Honor South Africa.
“At Honor our mission is to humanise innovation. The smartphone is no longer just a device; it’s a companion that learns, adapts, and empowers. Africa’s digital future is bright. Honor is proud to be part of that journey.”
Honor’s participation at the Africa Tech Festival aligned with the vision outlined by South Africa.
Solly Malatsi. Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies was guest of honour.
Malatsi emphasised the importance of local innovation, inclusivity and accessibility in shaping Africa’s digital economy.
Concluding its participation at the festival in Cape Town, Honor stated, “From Shenzhen to South Africa, Honor continues to push boundaries — proving that when innovation is guided by empathy and imagination, technology truly becomes a force for good.”
