DURBAN, (CAJ News) VISITING Libyan national team held Bafana Bafana to a goalless draw in a scintillating Africa Cup of Nations played at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

The draw helped the Mediterranean Knights maintain their pole position with four points from two games played to date.

South Africa occupies second spot with the same number of points, but separated by a goal difference.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, who trounced continental football lightweights Seychelles 3-0 at Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh are third while the islanders of Seychelles anchor the Group G table without a point.

However, it was the Libyan national that dominated the match as they neutralised their Bafana counterparts.

The north Africans came with a clear good game plan in mind to snatch a vital away point in which they successfully did that.

SuperSport United midfielder Dean Furman was voted man-of-the-match while the Libyans, who played as a collection remained unshaken.

Elsewhere, Comoros held visiting Cameroon to 1-1 in Group B encounter played at Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh in Comoros.

The win saw Cameroon lead the Group with 4, southern Africa’s Malawi on second with three points.

The The Flames of Malawi are playing Morocco tonight at Stade Mohamed V at 22:00hrs.
