RUSTENBURG, (CAJ News) – BEST described as Z-Z final!

Zambia and Zimbabwe will now face each other in the Cosafa Castle Cup 2017 final at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday following their respective victories over their opponents.

Zimbabwe beat Lesotho 4-3 while Zambia thrashed Tanzania 4-2 in matches played at Moruleng Stadium in Rustenburg.

A hat trick by Knox Mutizwa (19, 51, 83) and another gem of a goal by overlapping defender Talent Chapiwa (64) were enough to propel Zimbabwe Warriors to the final when they subdued determined Lesotho.

Lesotho scored their three goals through Sera Motebang (42)
Mabuti Potloane (80) and Tsoanelo Koetle from a 90th minute penalty.

Zimbabwe Warriors, under the mentorship of Sunday “Mhofu” Chidzambwa had never lost the Cosafa Cup final, and chances are high Chidzambwa might return to Harare with the title if his boys maintain the same form.

Zambia too, showed composure and hunger for success.

In the first semi-final, Zambia scored their four goals through a double by enterprising Justin Shonga (45), (68) and a goal apiece by Brian Mwila (44) and Jackson Chirwa’s penalty in the 56).

Tanzania got consolation goals through Erasto Nyoni (15) and Saimon Msuva (84).
