ABIDJAN, (CAJ News) – THE market leader in enterprise management software, Systems Applications Products (SAP), has strengthened its position in West Africa with the expansion to Ivory Coast.
An office has been opened in the commercial capital Abidjan.
SAP Sub-Saharan Africa Director, Jean Alain-Konan, said SAP aimed to empower people at the heart of business operations with technological solutions for trade.
“We want to show to managers attending how their companies can be better managed using SAP,” said Alain-Konan.
Despite political instability and civil unrest experienced between 1999 and 2011, Uvory Coast’s technology sector has seen continual growth and profitability.
The country was one of the first in sub-Saharan Africa to gain full internet access.
The opening of the office in Ivory Coast adds to other offices in Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria and South Africa.
SAP has more than 250 000 customers worldwide.
In Africa the company has 1 000 employees and a partnership with universities where students are trained on the group’s software before they are accommodate into the company or the ecosystem.
