Presidents endorse Africa premier infrastructure summit

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Presidents of Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda have confirmed their participation at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) Live in Nigeria in May.
AFC, the organizers confirmed Ghana’s Nana Akufo-Addo and Uganda leader Yoweri Museveni will join host president, Muhammadu Buhari, at the event set for Abuja.
Omar Ben Yedder, spokesperson of the AFC Live Organising Committee, said AFC Live would bring together many key players in the infrastructure space, with a focus on power, including renewable energy, transport and logistics, telecoms as well as the extractive industries.
“The platform is being designed to challenge existing models and more importantly to bring different actors under one roof to share opportunities and broker deals,” said Yedder.
In attendance will be some of the biggest project developers as well as the authorities and ministries showcasing commercial projects that require investment.
“On the investor front, we expect to have fund managers collectively overseeing over US$400 billion worth of capital, seeking strong long terms returns,” said Yedder.
AFC, rates as Africa’s premier infrastructure summit, is set for May 15
and 18.
