JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – REVENGE will be in the back of Orlando Pirates’ minds when the Soweto giants tackle Pretoria rivals Supersport United i for a place in the Telkom Knockout final.

Kickoff is 18h00 at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga Province.

Pirates have sad memories of the World Cup venue, the match coming over three weeks after Supersport demolished them 6-1 in the league.

The Buccaneers have in recent months relapsed into Supersport’s whipping boys, having in May lost the season-ending Nedbank Cup final 3-2 in Polokwane.

Pirates caretaker coach, Augusto Palacios, insists they will play their normal game.

““This is nothing about revenge,” he said.

Meanwhile, newboys Cape Town City will play Free State Stars in the other semifinal.

Kickoff is 15h00 at the Cape Town Stadium.

The two teams are enjoying contrasting fortunes.

Stars are bottom of the 16-team log while City are joint top.

The final is set for December 10.
