Mampane urges corporates lead in transformation

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – AN expert has urged the private sector to play a leading role and complement government efforts to transform the transport sector.

Kamogelo Mampane, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TK Global Experts, made the call ahead of the inaugural Big Breakfast Interview on Public Transport Transformation the African Press Association (APA) is hosting at the Melrose Arch in Johannesburg.

He will be among the panelists.

“For the private sector, innovation is required in leading this conversation instead of the government,” says Mampane.
Mampane says his company is playing a part in steering transformation.

He says he founded the company, more than 20 years ago, to empower other black engineers.

Two decades later, the company has won several awards including for the best Procurement and Supply Chain Professionals.

Mampane urged other businesses to identify gaps for potential future investments.

“Companies should set aside more money for SMEs as a social responsibility initiative,” he recommends.

Mampane has 20 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) at the operational and strategic level. His highest academic qualification is an MBA which he obtained at Henley Business School Business (UK).

He is a member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Africa and non-executive board member and Chairperson of Tshwane University Advisory Board.

He has previously been awarded the highest-grade of the professional body status as a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (UK).

He is a thought leader is Public Procurement and assist companies to leverage on their Supply Chain and Procurement resources with the current Public Sector regulation in South Africa.
