KIGALI, (CAJ News) – MTN Rwanda has announced the grand prize winner of the concluded Damarara Promotion, 27-year-old Shumbusho Adrien who has driven off with a new Land Cruiser Pajero 2016.

It was joy and excitement as the runner ups Ukurikiyeyesu Pie and Allen Mutoni also walked away with a new TVS motorbike and Rwf 1 million respectively.

Speaking at the handover event at MTN Headquarters in Nyarutarama, overwhelmed Shumbusho said, “When MTN called me I was busy working and thought someone was pranking me. Next thing they told me I won a car and I couldn’t believe my luck. I drive a truck for a living and this was the best gift I could ask for.”

Damarara was launched as a customer loyalty promotion designed to reward MTN customers based on the usage of MTN products and services. To be eligible to participate in the promotion, customers simply had to use their MTN lines to make a call, send an SMS, use data and earn points.

MTN has given away a total of 23 TVs, three motorbikes, Rwf 5,4 million in cash, Rwf11 million worth of airtime, 45 power banks, 72 smartphones and a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

“We congratulate all the winners of the MTN Damarara promotion. This bears testimony to our mission of making our customers’ lives a whole lot brighter,” said Annie Bilenge, MTN’s Chief Sales and Distribution Officer after the handover event.
