Ding announced new CoAL director

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – COAL of Africa Limited (CoAL), the emerging exploration, development and mining company operating in South Africa, has announced the appointment of Shangren Ding as a non-executive director.

The appointment is with immediate effect.

Ding, aged 54, is an experienced professional engineer who brings considerable experience to the CoAL board having worked for a number of mining and energy companies as well as acting as a consultant to
government geological bureaus.

Shangren has over 30 years’ experience predominately in the coal mining sector and he has gained extensive operational coal mining knowledge through chief operating roles at a number of mines in the Heilongjiang
province in the People’s Republic of China.

Registered in Australia, CoAL’s key projects include the Vele Colliery (coking and thermal coal), the Greater Soutpansberg Project /MbeuYashu, including CoAL’s Makhado Project (coking and thermal coal).
