Huawei to partner Nigeria government on job creation

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – HUAWEI Technologies, the Chine multinational firm, has expressed commitment to complement Nigeria’s efforts to diversify the economy.

Abuja Managing Director, Tank Liteng, made the commitment during a meeting with Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.

Liteng expressed the resolve of his company to the employment creation initiative of the Federal Government through human capital development of the Nigerian youths.

Ngige has expressed optimism Nigeria would emerge from the present economic downturn stronger and more prosperous.

He said the economic problems Nigeria was going through were “a passing phase.”

“Developed countries of the world have at one time or the other witnessed such,” said Ngige.

He called on Huawei Technologies to support the economic diversification efforts of the Federal Government, by deploying information communication technology to the enhancement of agricultural and mining sectors, which
are critical areas.
