Troops crush banditry in Kaduna

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – TROOPS have killed three armed bandits during operations in Kaduna State.

Some weapons and a bus were recovered during the exercise carried in conjunction with other security agencies under the Operation Sharan Daji.

Confirming the report acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, said the troops the armed suspects allegedly wrecking havoc on some communities in Kubau Local Government Area.

The Army spokesman said the troops also conducted a clearing operation around Kurmin Dande in Chikun Local Government Area.

During the clearance, they arrested a suspected cattle rustler who is undergoing interrogation.

Usman further stated the troops had intensified patrols at Madachi general area in Katsina State.

They have met heads of the local vigilantes within the te Local Government Areas in the State where cattle rustling and armed banditry seems prevalent.
