JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – AFRICAN businesses have been discouraged from wantonly choosing lubricants but opting for the most relevant in order to break even.

Shell Commercial Lubricants made the recommendation at the sidelines of the African Utility Week in Cape Town, South Africa.

The company has reported making headway to ensure the growth of a sustainable power sector in Africa.

Shell has invested in Shell Gas-To-Liquid (GTL) technology to formulate a range of products in the power sector that can help to alleviate these concerns.

“We understand that this technology is new to Africa and we welcome the opportunity to discuss Shell GTL and our suite of transformer and turbine oils with attendees,” said Dr Peter Smith, Global Technology Manager for
Shell Global Solutions.

“Our products will help businesses discover how using the right lubricant can bring substantial savings to your business.”

He said approved for use by the majority of transformer and turbine manufacturers, Shell’s range of lubricants offer Power operators the value of extended oil life, excellent equipment protection and increased system
efficiency.

Smith was among the presenters at the African Utility Week.
