JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – HELLO Paisa, the low cost international money transfer company, has been was named the leading fintech company in Africa.

The accolade has been conferred in Mauritius during the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) African Regional Conference which attracted up to 500 delegates from around the world.

Hello Paisa will now form part of a delegation along with two other finalists to Sibos — SWIFT’s annual global financial services conference in Geneva, Switzerland this year September.

Hello Group CEO, Nadir Khamissa, said through collaboration they were building a mobile-first digital financial services ecosystem in Africa.

“This allows people to leapfrog into the digital financial service space in the same manner that GSM allowed millions of Africans to leapfrog into the mobile telephony space 20 years ago,” he said.

Cassim reiterated the group was proud to be acknowledged for efforts in advancing in the fintech arena.

The Innotribe platform was a great opportunity for Hello Group to knowledge share on areas that will catapult this industry to the next level.

Hello Paisa launched in March 2015 as the first mobile remittance solution in South Africa and has grown its offering considerably now servicing individuals from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya, India and Pakistan and
