New York’s ION to conduct survey offshore West Africa

LAGOS, (CAJ News) – ION Geophysical Corporation, the New York Stock Exchange-listed firm, is mobilising its vessels and crew to conduct an ocean bottom seismic (OBS) survey offshore Nigeria.

An international oil company has issued a letter of commitment for the project.

ION expects the contract to be finalised within the next few weeks.

He said the company would immediately begin mobilizing to the project site.

“Our technology is well suited for additional opportunities in Nigeria and West Africa,” said Hanson.

Hanson said the company would continue to pursue active tenders and leads for projects in the area.
