Telco launches converged SME ICT offers

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – MTN Business has introduced a range of  converged business offers for small and medium businesses (SMEs).

The offers seek to provide SMEs with affordable and easy to understand Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and solutions to enable them to lower their costs, improve productivity, produce higher quality products, increase customer satisfaction and focus on core areas.

The offers include MTN Business Broadband, built on MTN’s Internet backbone and Metro Ethernet Access network, offering fast and reliable internet connection with speeds up to 5 MBPS uncapped which has correlation with both the efficiency and profitability of any business.

MTN Business Cloud, which offers a Virtual Server that enables SME’s to save costs, manage software licensing agreements offering built in security that helps insure business safety.

MTN Mobile Private Branch Exchange (PBX) for SME enables a mobile device to become a full-featured call centre service that offers reduced call rates, empowering SMEs to operate their businesses in a more professional manner.

MTN has also re-packaged its “Build Your Business with MTN Online”, a website and application (app) service that seeks to provide businesses with a secure online presence.

General Manager for the SME segment at MTN Business South Africa, Claude Chetty, said the SME market had long been lauded as a major economic growth driver in South Africa.

“The key to our focus on SMEs is not to simply introduce new solutions, but to also look for innovative ways that add value and can best change the way small businesses are positioned in the marketplace so that they can effectively compete and contribute to the economic growth of our  country.”
