NELSPRUIT, (CAJ News) – YOUTHFUL Zimbabwe international forward, Tendai Ndoro proved wrong head coach Eric Tinkler for unnecessarily benching him ahead of undeserving strikers when he rose from the Orlando Pirates bench to give struggling Soweto giants the desperately needed victory.

When it looked certain Mpumalanga Black Aces had snatched a point from a seemingly 1-1 draw, the Zimbabwean forward had other brilliant ideas in the second half.

Thousands of Orlando Pirates supporters were anxiously waiting for head coach Eric Tinkler’s ill-informed and negativity attitude towards Ndoro to introduce the striker, who the Buccaneers mentor unnecessarily benched yet when the club acquired him from Black Aces was the top goalscorer.

When all the Pirates’ misfiring strikers were clueless towards the elusive victory, it is then that Tinkler thought of gambling with the marksman, who did not waste time by bringing the much needed joy to thousands of Pirates supporters through classic double scoring.

Whether Tinkler will continue underestimating such a lethal and prolific striker ahead of his favoured misfiring strike-force on Saturday when Orlando Pirates host Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium, it has to be seen.

Earlier on Thabo Rakhale had given Pirates the lead in the 4th minute, but Black Aces equalised through Zambian international and current ABSA top goalscorer Collins Mbesuma in the 12th minute.

The misfiring Pirates strikers tried all tricks in the books of football to snatch the otherwise elusive victory until such a time Ndoro was introduced into the field of play.

The Zimbabwean forward did not take much time before his scoring prowess was witnessed by thousands of supporters as he struck the two brilliant goals in 69th and 87th minute respectively.

The victory immediately lifted Orlando Pirates from 11th position to a credible 7th on top of the log, a development football administrators, soccer fans and other coaches were left wondering why such a lethal striker was not being used at Pirates.

On Saturday, Pirates will be hosting Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium where all eyes will be glued on the presence of Ndoro.
