Customs issues warning against smugglers


ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has warned those involved in smuggling to desist from such acts.

Musa Adamu, Public Relations Officer of (PRO) of Command, said the culprits would be arrested and punished accordingly.

“All those that are into these nefarious activities should desist from doing it otherwise soonest the officers of NCS will get them arrested
and prosecuted accordingly,” Adamu said.

The warning follows the NCS in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara Command intercepting a trailer loaded with contraband goods worth N7 million (US$3513531.00)

The trailer was intercepted along Illela border station and two suspects were arrested in connection with the smuggled goods.
