Springboks resume action against Ireland


JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – INTERNATIONAL rugby action will return to South African fields in June with the visit of Ireland.

According to the fixture South African Rugby Union (SARU) released to CAJ  News, the Springboks, as the South African senior men’s national team is known, will face the visitors on the 11th at the DHL Newlands in Cape Town.

A week later, after playing in the Mother City, the Springboks will again lock horns with the Irish side at Emirates Airline Park Stadium in Johannesburg.

The hosts will round up their three series tour against the Irish on the 25th at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The three matches will kickoff at 17h00.

The Springboks have not played any matches since finishing third at the Rugby World Cup held in England between September and October.
