ABUJA, (CAJ News) – Nigeria’s Ministry of Labour and Employment has distanced itself from an online publication requesting unemployed youths to submit applications for employment at the ministry.

The medium was offering employment at the Headquarters and Zonal offices nationwide.

Deputy Director of Press, Samuel Olowokere, advised the public to disregard the false directive as it did not emanate from the ministry.

“The attention of the Honourable Minister of Labour Chris Ngige has been drawn to the online publication requesting unemployed Nigerian youths to submit application at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment Headquarter and Zonal offices nationwide. The general public is hereby
advised to disregard this false directive,” Olowokere said.

He warned the public against paying money to any individual for securing employment, adding that the administration of  President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to the creation of decent employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed Nigerians.
