Top tech scribes recognised
JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – LINKED-IN, the business-oriented social networking service, has announced its ten leading Top Tech Writers for 2015.
The winners are Nick Ciubotariu, Neil Hughes, Nir Eyal, Preethi Kasireddy,Max Motschwiller, Isis Anchalee, Shelly Palmer, Danielle Newnham, Vani Kola and Lee Naik.
Commenting on the criteria to determine the writers who were making a mark in their industries, Chip Cutter, LinkedIn’s senior editor said, “We relied on a formula that measured a host of criteria to determine writers who were making a mark in their industries.”
This includes engagement around content, growth of followers tied to publishing, number of times the writer had been featured in a channel in their area of expertise and how often the contributor had been chosen as an Editors’ Pick.
“That last channel is reserved for top content that helps explain the world today; when editors on my team select a story for Editors’ Picks they are signally that a story is worth paying attention to right now,” said Cutter.
Meanwhile, one of the recognised bloggers, Naik, said he was humbled by this recognition particularly from a reputable platform such as LinkedIn.
“I intend to continue utilising my blogs to help organisations navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by digital technologies, transforming their businesses to remain competitive. We are now beginning to see a digital disruption across various countries,” said Naik.
“In fact as we speak, businesses have already been disrupted, industries re-invented. As everyday objects are going online, so too are experiences — creating an abundance of digital channels that reach deep into every aspect of individuals’ lives,” stated Naik.
