Inaugural Africa oil, energy summit confirmed

CAPE TOWN, (CAJ News) – GOVERNMENT leaders and industry executives will  converge in South Africa next year for the Africa Oil and Power  conference.

The event is scheduled for Cape Town on June 6-7 when stakeholders will  discuss prevailing issues in the sector.

“Africa Oil & Power will be a game changer for B2B oil and gas events,” said NJ Ayuk, Chief Executive Officer of Centurion Law Group, the event’s Host Sponsor.

The inaugural edition is endorsed by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy of Equatorial Guinea.

According to organisers, Africa Oil and Power will be the first energy conference with panels made up exclusively of African oil and gas ministers and heads of national companies.

Confirmed speakers include Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, the Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy of Equatorial Guinea, and Etienne Dieudonné  Ngoubou, Minister of Petroleum and Hydrocarbons in Gabon.

Alex Mould, CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, and Nick Cooper, CEO of Ophir Energy, have also been confirmed.
