Latest iPhones set for launch in SA

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – TELKOM has announced the availability of the eagerly-anticipated iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Said to be the most advanced iPhones ever, they will be available on Friday.

“We are really excited to be bringing these new devices from Apple to our customers. The brand speaks for itself and especially combined with the speed and performance on Telkom’s LTE network, it will be an incredible experience for Apple fans,” said Attila Vitai, Managing Director of Telkom Mobile and Consumer.

The iPhone 6s 16GB will be available starting at R559 per month for 24 months on SmartPlan 50. iPhone 6s Plus 16GB will be available starting at R659 per month for 24 months on the same plan.

Manufacturers believe the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus bring a powerful new dimension to iPhone’s revolutionary Multi-Touch interface with 3D Touch, which senses force to enable intuitive new ways to access features and interact with content.

The new iPhones introduce a transformative new approach to photography called Live Photos.

Live Photos, 3D Touch, 12-megapixel iSight camera, 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera with Retina Flash and more are powered by the Apple-designed A9 chip, said to be the most advanced chip ever in a smartphone.

Other mobile network operators were scheduled to introduce the devices ahead of the weekend.
