ABUJA, (CAJ News) – TROOPS have dismantled an alleged Boko Haram fuel depot located at  the Ladu Dumbawa ward, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.  Acting Director of Army Public Relations Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman confirmed the development.

He said the breakthrough on Wednesday followed a tip off by some people that had been abducted to the location but escaped. It is believed suspected members of Boko Haram group had abducted seven people in Gajabere and took them to the location. The victims include three local wards heads called “Lawani” and their respective deputies, as well as the Chief Imam of the town.

“Through sheer guts and bravery, three of them escaped and reported the matter to the security, which led to the rescue of the rest and discovery of the depot.”

Usman said troops had further blocked the terrorists supply route that led to Babangida in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State where  they mostly got the supplies.

“Troops are intensifying efforts to identify and neutralise all Boko Haram logistic bases to further  constrict the terrorists and hasten their total defeat.”

Citizens have been requested to furnish the military and security agencies with information on all known terrorsists’ locations, routes and suppliers.
