LAGOS, (CAJ News) – A LEADING international beverage packing provider is upbeat at prospects of the industry in Nigeria.

Sidel, the Switzerland-headquartered provider, has subsequently unveiled plans to host a one-day event for its existing and potential customers in the country.

The event will be held on Tuesday next week at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos.

It will discuss local trends in the beverage packaging industry, developments and opportunities for growth.

Officials said with the packaging industry gaining momentum in Nigeria and other neighboring countries, Sub-Saharan market had grown to become a very competitive market place with a strong consumer demand on value-added beverage products.

“With Nigeria being one of Africa’s most important economies with a huge population that is growing at a tremendous rate, innovation and technology are key to gaining that competitive edge,” said Dominique Martin, Regional Commercial Director for Africa at Sidel.
