JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – FIRST National Bank has projected an increase in the adoption of digital banking.

The projection follows the company announcing its annual financial results when it disclosed its banking app had seen a 69 percent surge in usage.

“FNB expects more consumers to migrate from doing banking over the counter to banking digitally,” the bank stated.

It said the growth in usage numbers was a good sign, showing consumers were finding the tool useful because it enabled them to bank from anywhere at any time.

“At the core of the FNB App is simplicity, it’s easy to use and it’s fast and secure; this is what we believe really sets FNB apart in the marketplace.”

There are currently 1,5 million active devices using the FNB Banking App.

The FNB App has won local and international awards.
