LAGOS, (CAJ News) –  THE Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has alerted members of the public to fraudulent individuals extorting money from desperate job seekers.

These cons are said to be defrauding people money in exchange of non-existent jobs.

“CBN is currently not carrying out general recruitment,” Ibrahim Mu’azu, Director, Corporate Communications, said.”It (CBN) also wishes to reiterate that the Bank does not receive money directly or through any representative for the purpose of job recruitment.”

The apex will not embark on general recruitment exercise without due process, and in accordance with the provisions of the law, Mu’azu said.

“Whenever the Bank is ready to do this it will be duly publicized through its website: and other media available to it, without a fee,” Mu’auzu said.
