Wits to announce major fossils discovery

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SOUTH Africa’s University of Witwatersrand is set to make a significant announcement on Thursday following the discovery of human fossils at Maropeng near Johannesburg.

Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, and Witwatersrand  University Vice Chancellor,  Professor Adam Habib, will the key speakers at the event.

Professor Lee Berger is leading the discovery team of Wits University researchers who are set to announce this new fossil find at the Cradle of Humankind.

According to the university, “the groundbreaking” fossil discovery of international importance will draw attention of the entire world to the Cradle of Humankind.
