JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THERE has been no power outages over the last 30 days as the system stabislises, Eskom reported. However, the power system is expected to remain constrained but stable for the rest of the week with a low risk of load shedding.

“We will continue to monitor the situation, and should it be necessary to implement load shedding, we will communicate this accordingly,” the company stated. As the country enters the summer period, customers are reminded to use electricity sparingly throughout the day, as the system is not only constrained in the morning and evening peaks but all day.“

Every little bit of savings goes a long way in assisting us to manage the demand and supply of electricity and to reduce the risk of load shedding,” said Eskom.

The power utility said it would provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
