Gor favourites to lift Kenya league title

NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – KENYA Premier League (KPL) defending champions, Gor Mahia, have further enhanced their status as favourites to win the title.

The side from the capital city beat Ushuru 2-0 at Nairobi City Stadium on Wednesday afternoon to stretch a healthy lead at the top of the standings.

The victory saw Gor Mahia extend their advantage at the top of the Kenyan Premiership to eleven points having amassed 52 points from 20 games played to date.

On the other hand, the defeat left Ushuru stuck in tenth position with 28 points from 22 games.

Gor Mahia scored their important goals through David Naftali in the 47th minute and Enock Agwanda in the late match.

Ushuru FC created numerous scoring opportunities through Rodgers Ochieng, Moses Arita and Barrack Odhiambo but they found the Gor defence unyielding.
