JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – THE battle for the R8 million prize money on offer for the winners will step up this weekend when the semi-finals of the MTN 8 resume.
Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, Bloemfontein Celtic and defending champions Kaizer Chiefs will all be in action in the first legs of the Last Four.
First to fight out are Ajax and Wits at Coetzenburg Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday before Chiefs travel to Celtic for a clash with Celtic at Free State Stadium the following day.
The returning fixtures have been set for August 29 at the First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg (20h15 kickoff). A day later, Wits and the youthful Cape Town outfit will complete proceedings at the Bidvest Stadium at 15h00.
Tickets are now available for both first and second leg semi-finals. They sell at R60 (West stand) and R40 for the rest of the stadium. Children under 12 years still pay R10 for entry.
The MTN8 is a winner-takes all tournament.
While the winners bank R8 million, the other seven teams receive R800 000 each.
