LAGOS, (CAJ News) – THE United Kingdom Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointment of Paul Arkwright as British High Commissioner to Nigeria.

Arkwright has been appointed in succession to Sir Andrew Pocock, who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service.

Arkwright will take up his appointment during September.

Arkwright, a married father of two, is presently the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Director of Multilateral Policy.

Before the post, he was the Queen’s Ambassador to The Hague.

He joined the Commonwealth and Foreign Office in 1986.
