German firm’s software to boost local SMEsBy SAVIOUS KWINIKA
JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SAP, the German-headquartered company, has expanded its cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business management software to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to the German-headquartered firm, with SAP Business ByDesign solution, moving to state-of-the-art business software is fast and affordable whilst reducing the complexity that stifles SMEs.
This cloud-based solution includes complete functionality for financial, human resources, marketing, sales, service, supply chain, procurement, and project management processes.
Incorporating SAP’s latest innovations, it runs on SAP real-time in-memory database platform (HANA) which allows the transactional and analytical solutions to utilise the same data platform giving you not only a real-time view of your business but also one version of the truth.
According to SAP, many midsized companies look for systems which can be as agile and flexible as their business processes have to be in order to respond to changing market conditions taking advantage of new opportunities.
Having an IT infrastructure with several standalone systems that do not communicate with each other not only consumes a vast amount of resources but also slows down a company’s ability to quickly change and incorporate innovate solutions.
As the pace of business is increasing and global competition disrupting the market, complexity is the key obstacle for SME to respond fast, and agile to re-gain the competitive edge, SAP added.
