Mandela lecture to improve Nigeria-SA relationsBy TINTSWALO BALOYI
JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SOUTH Africa’s ruling African National Congress(ANC) believes the upcoming Nelson Mandela Annual Memorial Lecture scheduled for Lagos will strengthen relations between the country and Nigeria.
The lecture is slated for the Eko Hotel and Suites on Thursday.
Treasurer General of the ANC, Zweli Mkhize, is set to address the lecture, which is a brainchild of the Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce.
“The Lecture is part of ongoing initiatives to strengthen relations between the people and businesses of our two countries as well as providing an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences on the leadership qualities of the late former ANC President, Nelson Mandela,” Zizi Kodwa, ANC Spokesman, said.
The Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce was established in the year 2000 to serve as a forum for the encouragement of the Nigeria – South Africa bilateral trade and industry.
This year’s lecture themed “Nelson Mandela: An Inspirational Life” will be attended by key stakeholders in various sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
