Zimbabwe, SA re-engage in battlefrom MARCUS MUSHONGA in Harare, Zimbabwe
HARARE, (CAJ News) – THE football rivalry between Zimbabwe and South Africa resumes this weekend when the two nations’ under-23 clash in a CAF Under-23 Championship qualifier.
The crucial match kicks off at 3:00pm on Sunday at Rufaro Stadium, Harare.
The return leg will be played in Johannesburg a fortnight.
Both sides are in form.
Zimbabwe under-23 Head Coach, Callisto Pasuwa, is thus taking no chances against Amagluglug by including such stars as South African-based forward Kuda Mahachi to bolster his squad.
Among other top players in camp are captain Wisdom Mutasa, acrobatic Dynamos goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva and dribbling wizard Ronald Pfumbidzai.
Zimbabwe have already qualified for the All Africa Games, but the under-23 squad also want to make an impact in the African championship since there is a ticket to the Olympic Games in Rio de Jenairo, Brazil.
On the other hand, the South African under-23 squad have been in camp for two weeks preparing for this crucial tie.
