All set for African EduWeek resumption
JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – MORE than 3 500 teachers, educational professionals, institutions and suppliers to the industry are scheduled to converge in Johannesburg, South Africa for the ninth annual African EduWeek.
The two-day event begins on Wednesday.
This year the theme of African EduWeek is, “Enter a World of Educational Knowledge.”
“We invite all teachers to join us for more than a hundred hours of free-to-attend EduTheatre sessions and teacher training workshops – focused on the daily challenges and topical developments that they face in their basic and higher education classrooms,’ says Event Director, Tanya Jackman.
Session topics range from sex education, school finance to e-learning and the challenge of teaching mathematics in schools.
Among the highlights of the event include African EduWeek Awards and the
E-Tech Africa, a technology focused conference said to be the first event of its kind in South Africa.
African EduWeek is organised by Spintelligent, leading Cape Town-based trade exhibition and conference organiser, and the African office of Clarion Events Ltd, based in the United Kingdom.
The South African Principals’ Association (SAPA) is an official supporting body this year.
“At this year’s EduWeek we will focus on innovation for principals where we will share new ideas,” says Marius Ehrenreich, President of SAPA.
The global technology giant Intel returns as the exclusive diamond sponsor for the event.
