JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SKYWISE, the low-cost South African airline will add new routes and increase fleet on its domestic service.

Officials said the move was by popular demand with the operative between
Johannesburg and Cape Town, an itinerary that said to have been warmly received by an upward number of customers.

New routes mirror Skywise’s plans to firmly establish itself in the domestic air passenger sector and also answer to the persistent calls to provide services elsewhere in South Africa, officials said.

“The expansion of routes follows consistent advice and comments to service other destinations,” said J. Malik and Tabassum Qadir, Co-Chairs of SkyWise.

The acquisition of the latest aircraft, in the Boeing 737 series, comes on the back of another addition in June.

Having had initial operational expertise and also working with external consultants, Skywise management had a considerable amount of careful fleet planning prior to this new development.

“Prior to the acquisition of the new aircraft we looked at which aircraft suits our destination network and we settled for the Boeing 737 once again. More importantly, it fits very well our LCC model and should boost our service delivery,” said Malik and Qadir.
