ABUJA, (CAJ News) – SENATOR Bukola Saraki has been elected as the Senate President.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) member was elected unopposed by 57 senators on Tuesday Morning during the Plenary.

Senator Sani Yerima, seconded by Senator Dino Melaye, nominated him.

The clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikaswa declared him
Senate President, in the absence of nominations.

As the time of sending this report, the clerk had sworn the 52-year-old as
the Senate President.

He succeeds David Mark, also from the PDP.
