EXCLUSIVE: Rwanda’s first ICT publication takes off

KIGALI, (CAJ News) – RWANDA’S first Information Communication Technology (ICT) online news publication has taken off.

ItNewsRwanda, the new online publication is set to be officially launched in July, with the country’s President, His Excellence Paul Kagame, and Minister of Youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana, expected to commission it.

An official from ItNews Rwanda, said preparations are at an advanced stage in their preparations to officially launch the technology publication.

“We are still in the process of sending invitation letters to our President, His Excellence Paul Kagame as well as Youth and ICT Minister, Jean Philbert Nsengimana before end of July,” the publication’s acting Chief Executive Officer, Faustin Buteera said.

He said the publication will provide intelligent information for investment and business opportunities.

ITNews Rwanda is accessible via the web at www.itnewsrwanda.co.rw,  and via mobile phone.

Buteera said ITNews Rwanda boasts industrial expertise backed by innovative technology to disseminate news aimed at developing the country’s ICT industry, finance, energy and tourism international media houses.

The official said ItNews Rwanda has already taken off and will be known as the place where advertisers, PR professionals, companies and individuals meet with vibrant Rwandan and East African business communities.
