LAGOS, (CAJ News) – THE British High Commission has announced the
temporary closure of its Teleperformance Visa Application Centre in Ikeja
because of ongoing fuel shortages.

The Commission said shortages being experienced across Nigeria were seriously affecting power supplies at the facility.

Operations in Ikeja are expected to resume on Monday with the hope the fuel situation would have improved.

Following the decision, customers with an appointment to submit their application at Ikeja during this period will be contacted directly by Teleperformance.

“Given the widespread impact of the fuel strike, ongoing disruption to VAC services in both Victoria Island and Abuja is possible.

“Applicants are advised to visit the Teleperformance website for Nigeria for further updates and information before travelling to the VAC,” the Commission stated late Tuesday.

Applicants who have a confirmed Priority Visa appointment at Ikeja, or who have a compelling need to travel urgently to the UK and submit a visa application before Monday have been urged to contact UKVI directly at the following address

“We apologise for any inconvenience experienced at this time and are working hard to restore normal service,” the Commission stated regrettably.
