BREAKING: Suicide bomb attack rocks Yobe college

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – A SUICIDE bomber has been killed and seven people injured following an explosion at the College of Administrative and
Business Studies (CABS) Potiskum in Yobe State.
According to the Information Department of the institution, the bomber,
who was armed with Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and and AK47 rifle, stormed the school in the morning and started shooting sporadically at the gate.
He is said to have forcefully gained entrance to the school shooting at
students and teachers alike aimlessly.
The school source revealed that efforts were made to get hold of the
bomber after he ran out of ammunition following which the IED detonating
Hospital officials said seven people with various degrees of gunshot
injuries had been brought into Potiskum General Hospital adjacent to the
Meanwhile, the Police Public relations officer of the Yobe Command, Toyin
Gbadegesin, confirmed the incident.
He also said the situation was been brought under control with security
forces working in the area to ensure the restoration of normalcy.
Gbadegesin called on the public not to take for granted the gains of the
ongoing peace efforts intensified by the security forces and urges them to
remain vigilant and observance in the fight against insurgency and to
report people with suspicious character for prompt action.
