LAGOS, (CAJ News) – THE initial list of speakers for the Practical Nigerian Content Forum (PNC) has been confirmed.

Among these are Ernest Nwapa, Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Emeka Ene, the Chairman of Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, Taofiq Adegbite, the Chief Executive Officer of Marine Platform, Longfellow Atakele, Technical Manager at Platform Petroleum, Billy Gillis – Harry, President of Coalition of South South Chamber of Commerce and Henry Okolo, Chairman of Enfrasco.

PNC celebrates its fifth anniversary this year in conjunction with the Nigerian Oil & Gas Content Development Act (NOGICDA), having first taken place in 2011 with the vision of providing a forum for industry stakeholders to learn the theory, hear the experiences and see Nigerian Content implementation in action.

Over the past five years, organizers said the Act had been the catalyst for an unprecedented increase of indigenous capacity and capabilities in the industry and the hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of spending retained in country.

“PNC has evolved alongside the transformation of the industry, having focused on the challenges faced by industry stakeholders including; understanding and interpreting the act to extrapolate practical objectives, remaining complainant within a challenging operating environment and adapting company strategy to ensure capacity development and knowledge transfer were achieved, CWC Group Project Manager for Nigeria, Wemimo Oyelana, said.

The United Kingdom-based CWC Group is organizing the event that is scheduled for October at a venue yet to be announced.
