South Africa biggest winners at Mauritius athletics meet

NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – SOUTH Africa has dominated the just-ended Africa Youth Athletics Championships in Mauritius.

Kenya emerged second in the African athletic championships, improving from the previous year’s fourth position.

However, South Africa reclaimed the top spot at the African junior with a total of 29 medals of which 17 of them were gold while Kenya emerged second with a total of 17 medals.

Out of the 17 medals harvest, Kenya managed seven gold, eight silver and two bronze medals.

Algeria came third with Egypt fourth while Morocco came fifth.
