Local sides prepare for regional rugby tourney

NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – AFRICA’S elite rugby nations will resume rivalry when the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) elite group kicks off in June.

The tournament will feature Africa Cup 1A nations comprising the hosts Namibia, Kenya, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.

According to CAR, the losers will be relegated to Africa Cup 1B at the end of the tournament.

The fixture kick start on June 6 with Namibia playing Zimbabwe before taking on Tunisia on June 13.

Kenya will then face Zimbabwe on the same day while Namibia battle Tunisia on the same date.

Kenya’s next encounter will be against Tunisia on June 28 while Zimbabwe battles the north Africans again on July 4.

Kenya’s last match will be against the host nation on July 11.
