JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SKYWISE, the South African low-cost airline, said it had absorbed industry regulated administration costs into its fares.

It is said to be the first carrier to effect the changes

This follows regulators’ release on 10 February 2015 of a survey that aimed to assist members appreciate the value of the charge.

Skywise officials said this progress was in keeping with the company’s “Less Is More” attitude, which means passengers have just one cost instead of having to go through a list of costs to get the total.

“It’s also in line with our saying “what you see, is what you get”, which affords our passengers to only pay the price they see.

“As a new airline there is need to keep transforming our services to be competitive. What a better way with this approach that addresses not just the issue of complex costs in the industry but also compliance”, says J. Malik and Tabassum Qadir, Skywise Co-Chairpersons.

They said the new costing system was even more of a sales incentive and Skywise hopes to attract more support and sales through its channels.

“Channels have been making quite a lot of inquiries of late, particularly at the World Travel Market Africa 2015, hosted in Cape Town between 15 and 17 April.”
